What do you love about working in education? What motivates you?
I love to open student’s eyes to new and exciting topics in my history class. Many students do not like history until they reach middle school. I also like having a captive audience for my wacky, corny personality and jokes.
Why did you become a teacher?
I have a passion for history. I wanted to use my passion to inspire young people.
What is your “Edulastic story”?
I was looking for a way to test students like the SBAC. The rigor on basic t/f multiple choice tests doesn’t cut it anymore.
Describe your favorite Edulastic “aha” moment.
The moment I saw the vast amount of question types available. The live test session secured the deal. I instantly “ran” down the hall to spread the news about what I had found.

Keep students engaged and entertained!
Favorite motivational idea:
“Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
I always loved this quote. It is so true.

Funniest student moment?
I confiscated a a note that a student wrote to a girl he liked. On the note “Hi sweaty” Great teaching moment on the importance of spelling.
Greatest accomplishment in the classroom this past year:
Completing to different pilot programs in one semester.
