Halloween Classroom Activities
Put these fun halloween-themed assessments to the test!
Candy, Costumes, Pumpkins, & Halloween
As the title suggests, this assessment is a montage of Halloween goodness. Focusing on simple ELA tasks to looking at candy portions, party prep, and painting pumpkins, you’ll find a collage of questions and themes throughout this assessment. Try it out to get assessment inspiration while sticking with the Halloween spirit!
Counting Candy
(Math Practice for Halloween!)
After making rounds around the block and collecting a sack full of candy, what’s a kid to do?! Count it! Maybe even make some trades or figure out how to ration it out so it lasts. That’s where math comes in! Mix math with candy to create an utterly sweet assessment. Try it out!
A Slice of Pi
Pumpkin pie, apple pie, or pecan pie might make your mouth water. So why not tie in a little pi math to take it up a level? This assessment challenges the taker to think about desert, 3.41, and circular shapes while answering multiple choice, fraction editor, expression evaluator, resequence, and essay-type questions. Try it for yourself!
Want to really scare your students on Halloween? Tell them you’re giving them a high-stakes test that’s worth 50% of their grade! 🙂 Just kidding.
Maybe you’ll want to save that for April Fools Day!Â
